Titled “We Are Guardians,” this is the newest trailer for Bungie’s next batch of DLC for its year-old galactic shooter.

While being an awesome trailer, I have to ask the question–do people really still play/care about Destiny?

I mean, with so many good multiplayer games on the horizon (Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 5: Guardians, Rainbow Six Siege, Tom Clancy’s The Division), is it really worth it to drop $59.99 on DLC for a game that just continues to swap faces?

The Taken King will drop Destiny’s “light level” system in favor of a more traditional “XP” system, as in you level up based solely on experienced earned. That’s nice, but I feel like that it came six months too late. That’s not the only change, the game will also rework its loot and weapon systems to the dissatisfaction of veteran players.

Got to hand it to the marketing team, the trailer really got me pumped. But you’re not sucking me in again, Bungie. No way. I got Stormtroopers to mess up in a few months.
