You know what’s great about this game? It knows it’s campy. It knows it’s cheesy. It knows it’s cliché.
And that’s beautiful.
It’s what makes this game shine; it’s not trying to pretend to be anything it knows it isn’t.
Until Dawn is an interactive horror experience where you play as one of eight characters. Each action/decision you make will have “butterfly effect” type consequences throughout your following playthroughs. Each playthrough is said to be about 9 hours long, offering up plenty of replayability.
Your goal is simple: survive.
Imagine if you mixed Heavy Rain’s graphics with the decision system from Life Is Strange, and then added a dose of campy 90s horror–you’d get Until Dawn.
